Hudson's background in economic development with the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce gave him not only a professional start but, more importantly, delivered insight into the power of networking that would one day lead to the type of clients who wanted to be more intentional about how they purchase insurance.
However, after owning a captive agency for nearly a decade, “it got to the point where I was turning away viable business opportunities. I wanted to grow my business and a captive agency did not provide the independence required for me to grow in the way that I desired," Hudson says. “There's a time and place for the captive side but the future is in the independent agency channel—and I decided I'd be doing myself a disservice if I did not tap in."
