FOCUS: Recently, Atlas General Insurance Services, a managing general agent owned by Risk Placement Services (RPS), announced a new workers compensation program in partnership with Sompo International. The program is a replacement for the Falls Lake admitted and guaranteed program.
San Diego-based Atlas was founded in 2009 and was acquired by RPS in 2021. Atlas is a full-service program administrator and MGA that offers a wide range of insurance solutions, with products including workers compensation, commercial, specialty property and programs.
COVERAGE DETAILS: The Sompo International program includes the addition of over 400 workers comp classes, such as contractors, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation and other industry classes.

UNDERWRITING: Minimum premium varies by class. Submissions can be sent online or by email.
ACORD 130, four years of loss runs and a supplemental application for accounts over $35,000 are required. The minimum premium is based on classification.
