Hurricane season captures plenty of headlines this time of year as states along the coast begin to prepare for storms.

But in reality, business threats extend far beyond just hurricanes and tropical storms. According to Agility Recovery, the Big “I”-endorsed provider of disaster recovery solutions for insurance firms, the most common disaster-related business interruptions are the more isolated, unique events—ranging from building fires and plumbing disasters to power outages and communications interruptions.

For more than 25 years, Agility has responded to and recovered its members from disasters of all types and sizes. And in that time, July has emerged statistically as the month in which the most disasters occur throughout the year.

That’s why Agility, along with FEMA, the American Red Cross and other entities, encourage businesses of all types in all areas of the United States to prepare for disasters. Developing strategies for relocating employees, reconnecting phones and Internet and providing temporary power are imperative steps to overcome hurricanes and tropical storms, as well as smaller interruptions.

As a Big “I”-endorsed provider, Agility assists independent agents in preparing for and recovering from disaster. It provides temporary power, office space, communications equipment and computer systems following disasters of any scope. Find additional information on Agility’s economical and easy-to-implement solution.
