Last week, FEMA released its updated National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Flood Insurance Manual. The 2014 NFIP Manual is now available online and will take effect on Oct. 1, 2014. The manual is the primary guide for insurers and agents selling and servicing NFIP policies and is updated each year.

Agents can also sign up to receive NFIP updates directly from FEMA by sending an email message to iservice@nfipiservice.com and requesting to be added to its distribution list.
