big ‘i’ legislative conference offers unique networking opportunities

As always, independent agents and brokers will come to the annual Big “I" Legislative Conference—to be held this year April 27-29 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel—for the chance to hear the high-profile speakers from Congress and the media at the breakfast and luncheon sessions and to connect on Capitol Hill with lawmakers and their staffs. But the event also provides other unique networking opportunities that will be especially appreciated this year as members gather in person for the Legislative Conference for the first time since 2019.

On Wednesday, April 27, young agents will be able to catch up informally over coffee at our Young Agent Welcome Reception before heading to the Emerging Leaders Luncheon. Later in the day, major donors to InsurPac will be invited to mingle with prominent members of Congress at an exclusive private reception offsite. And our largest agents and brokers will be invited to dinner with top company executives for a program of Washington, D.C. insights.

All Big “I" members are welcome to connect with representatives from many of our carrier partners and Big “I" national leaders in casual and informal settings across the three-day event.

Other networking events open to all members include the Legislative Conference Reception Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. and the open Board of Directors meeting 4:45-5:45 p.m. Friday, April 29.

Register for the 2022 Big “I" Legislative Conference. Online registration will be accepted until April 13. Don't delay making your guest room reservations, as hotel accommodations fill up fast.

Visit the dedicated Legislative Conference webpage to view Washington, D.C.'s COVID-19-related requirements, including updated vaccine and mask mandate information.

Sue Nester is Big “I" vice president of communications.
