FOCUS: Amwins Program Underwriters' RecycleGuard program caters to the unique exposures and risk handling needs often faced by recycling operators. RecycleGuard has been providing solutions to the scrap metal industry for over 25 years. The program has resolved over 25,000 scrap industry claims and conducted over 5,000 scrap yard loss control services. The program has also been the endorsed insurance product by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) since 2001.

COVERAGE DETAILS: The program includes auto, general liability, umbrella, property, crime, inland marine, equipment breakdown including production machinery, professional liability for document destruction, workers compensation and conversion coverage.

Products coverage redefined to clarify coverage for material to be recycled, reconditioned or reclaimed, and coverage for stock is available with manufacturer's selling price valuation clause.

UNDERWRITING: A complete submission includes ACORD applications for all lines of business, excluding workers compensation; a complete and signed supplemental application; ISRI membership; five years currently valued loss runs with an explanation of losses over $10,000; explanation of any Safety and Fitness Electronic Records (SAFER) violations; details of telematics and fire suppression usage; and federal employer identification number.

TARGET: All Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) members are within appetite. Non-ISRI members will be considered if they meet underwriting criteria. Recycling operations focused on scrap metal, electronics, paper, plastic, glass and automobiles are a target.
