Intact Adds Accident Medical Expense Coverage to Event Coverage

FOCUS: Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions recently announced that when customers purchase event liability insurance through GatherGuard®, they can now add accident medical expense coverage in the same transaction. This optional coverage provides financial protection if a guest is injured in a covered accident, helping event hosts meet common insurance requirements and support safer events.
COVERAGE DETAILS: The GatherGuard® platform is designed to quickly deliver coverage that satisfies venue requirements through a simple online experience, making it practical for everything from small private gatherings to large community events.
With the newly introduced accident medical expense coverage, hosts can purchase insurance protection to help cover medical costs associated with a covered accident if a guest is injured at their event, with up to $15,000 in coverage per covered accident. Coverage also includes accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D).
UNDERWRITING: Coverage can be issued for as low as $75, depending on insurance needs. Accident medical expense coverage is an additional optional purchase. The entire application process is managed online. Users will need to provide basic information, including the venue address, the event duration in days and the number of attendees.
TARGET: GatherGuard® is designed for anyone hosting an event at a nonresidential venue, including individuals planning weddings, milestone parties or private celebrations; organizations hosting corporate events, fundraisers, or social gatherings; community groups running fairs, festivals, or recreational events; and venues that require event liability and accidental injury coverage as part of their rental agreement.
COVERAGE AVAILABILITY: All U.S. states except Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
