Hanna Ogle resisted the lure of the ocean for the deeper mysteries of insurance and found her happy work/life balance before she turned 40 (this month). This small-town Midwesterner came to love the ocean on visits to her late grandmother’s home on the California coast. She dreamed of becoming a marine scientist, but the fates intervened—though she never lost her love for the ocean, Ogle found her joy in a perfect blend of country and city living.
Agency Plans?
Building on our newly renovated online presence. We rebuilt our website and are developing our social media presence, and we intend to keep expanding online. We’re not really an online-focused agency, but our increased presence has enhanced the fun of insurance marketing. We always bring it back to a personal relationship with our customers. We’re also planning some exciting marketing efforts to build brand recognition.
Favorite Challenge?
The most fun I ever have is when something is a big mess and I have to fix it.
Role Model?
Ree Drummond, “The Pioneer Woman.” She’s half farm girl, half successful business woman, with a healthy family inspiration. Have you seen her kitchen?!
Fun?
Gardening. I’m not really having fun if what I’m doing won’t yield a tangible result. I have this insane need to be productive. What better way than to create a food source for my family? There is nothing better than hearing your kids ask if they can go to the garden and eat something they helped create.
Balance?
We sold our house in the ‘burbs and relocated to three acres in the country. I love working in a successful, thriving agency in the city, and I gladly travel the 40 miles to get there. Insurance is what I was meant to do. It’s a match made in Heaven. But I’m a country girl at heart. I’m happiest at home with my family and my garden, my chickens and my horse. I live this strange dueling reality.
