In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, employees at AssuredPartners raised nearly $30,000 which was matched by the company to reach a $100,000 total contribution to the fund.
The Big “I" is excited to announce that AssuredPartners, one of the nation's largest independent insurance brokerages, has donated $100,000 to the Trusted Choice® Relief Fund to assist independent insurance agents and staff impacted by natural disasters.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, AssuredPartners organized a matching donation campaign with its employees who raised nearly $30,000. AssuredPartners donated an additional $70,000 to reach a $100,000 total contribution to the relief fund.
“The Big 'I' extends heartfelt gratitude for the generosity of AssuredPartners and its employees," says Bob Rusbuldt, Big “I" president & CEO. “This support has gone to—and will continue to go to—agencies and agents, as well as their communities, in their greatest time of need."
Rusbuldt and Big “I" Chairman John Costello recently completed a tour of hard-hit areas in Southwest Florida. They talked to a number of people who were impacted by Hurricane Ian and received assistance from the Trusted Choice Relief Fund to help them in their recovery.
“As recovery for areas hit by natural disasters, including Hurricane Ian, is a slow and painful process, we saw personally how this tangible support is incredibly impactful," Rusbuldt adds.
The relief fund provides Big “I" state associations and member agencies and brokers with financial support for immediate or ongoing needs when other resources are not available, filling the gap until other funding sources become accessible. The fund also provides insurance agents with supplies and resources to aid victims and surviving family members in their communities.
“The Trusted Choice Relief Fund has been here to help industry personnel through tough times like Hurricane Ian," says Kevin Brandt, executive director of Trusted Choice. “Every request we receive has a story of financial devastation behind it, and we've been fortunate to offer critical assistance to those in need because of generous contributions from companies like AssuredPartners."
Established by the IIAA Educational Foundation in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, the fund distributes cash grants to victims and surviving family members of natural disasters. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
