Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kansas) will address the Big “I" Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, April 28 during the 2022 Big “I" Legislative Conference, which will take place April 27-29 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel.

Sen. Moran has served in the U.S. Senate since 2010 and was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996, where he served seven terms. He is a member of the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, which has primary jurisdiction over the insurance marketplace in the Senate.

He also serves as the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs and serves on the powerful Senate Committee on Appropriations, as well as the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

During the 2014 election cycle, Sen. Moran chaired the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Under his leadership, the Republican party gained a net increase of nine seats, which marked the largest Senate gain in a midterm election since 1958.

Other congressional speakers during the 2022 Legislative Conference include Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Massachusetts), who will also be speaking at the Legislative Breakfast, and Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), who will be speaking at the Emerging Leader Luncheon on Wednesday, April 27.

In February, the Big “I" announced that Jesse Watters, host of Fox News Channel's “Jesse Watters Primetime," co-host of “The Five," and author of the No. 1 New York Times Best Seller, “How I Saved the World," will be a featured speaker at the 2022 Big “I" Legislative Conference.

Watters will chat with Big “I" president & CEO Bob Rusbuldt on Friday, April 29 about the latest headlines, current events, insights on issues affecting small businesses, and his anecdotes from his experiences rising through the ranks of Fox News.

The Big “I" Legislative Conference is the premier event for independent agents and offers an opportunity for agents to speak to their federal legislators with a unified voice. Here are seven issues that will be a focus at this year's conference.

The registration deadline has been extended to April 15 so register now to have the opportunity to hear these great speakers, network with other insurance agents and carriers, and more.

Teddie Norton Reilly is Big “I" director of government affairs operations.
