The 2022 midterm election cycle finally came to a close this week with Democrats winning the lone U.S. Senate runoff in Georgia. The margin in the U.S. House of Representatives has also been determined.

The Republican Party has a slim five-seat majority in the House while the Senate now tilts 51-49 in the Democratic Party's favor.

In this short video, Charles Symington, Big “I" executive vice president, and Nathan Riedel, Big “I" vice president of political affairs, discuss the election outcome, new congressional leadership, and how the narrow margin in each chamber will impact the upcoming 118th Congress.

Teddie Norton Reilly is Big “I" director of government affairs operations.
