FOCUS: Neptune Flood, the largest provider of private flood insurance in the U.S., announced its expansion into the state of Kentucky, making residential, commercial and residential condominium building association policy (RCBAP) flood products available in the Bluegrass State.
Less than 1% of homes in Kentucky have an NFIP policy—just 18,000 homes, according to Risk Factor by First Street Foundation—yet over 300,000 homes have a greater than 25% chance of flooding in the next 30 years. Neptune is making its flood insurance products available with higher limits and broader coverage options than offered by the NFIP.
