CMS Opens 2017 FFM Registration and Training

By: Wyatt Stewart
This week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) opened registration and training for the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) for plan year 2017.
Agents and brokers can now log in to their CMS Enterprise Portal user accounts and access the Marketplace Learning Management System to begin the registration process. Additional information about registration and training is available on the CMS Agents and Brokers Resources webpage.
Even if you successfully completed registration for plan year 2016, you may only assist consumers until Oct. 31—the expiration date of your plan year 2016 FFM Agreements for the Individual Marketplace or Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace.
In order to assist consumers with 2016 coverage during November and December of this year—or to help them enroll for the first time or re-enroll in coverage for plan year 2017—you must first complete plan year 2017 registration and training .
More information for plan year 2017 FFM registration and training for agents and brokers returning to the FFMs is available in a CMS PDF document. Additional details on plan year 2017 FFM registration and training for agents and brokers new to the FFMs is also available online.
Direct your questions about the FFM agent and broker program to the producer and assister help desk via email or by calling the agent and broker call center at 855-267-1515 and selecting option 1.
