Born and bred in New Orleans, Keith Oufnac returned home after his early career took him all over the map. In 2000, he joined Eustis Insurance, located within whistling distance of The Big Easy, where he has developed innovative ways for IT to directly support the bottom line.

PRODUCTIVITY BOOSTER?

I developed a production management report—a spreadsheet that conglomerates all our entities and shows production through one “pane of glass” for the current year versus the past two years. My partners wanted a single page we could lay on a producer’s desk, showing top accounts, money generated from those accounts year-to-year and current status at a glance. Producers needn’t guess where they stand. We can quickly and easily see policy and client counts and retention ratio—making it easy to target any necessary adjustments.

NOLA FOR LIFE?

It’s great to have the opportunity to stay here forever. When you marry a New Orleans girl [Katherine, an attorney], you’re not leaving the city, that’s for sure. We married about three months after Hurricane Katrina and made our home here. The drive and determination of the people is part of who we are.
