Agency Profile: New Lease on Life

Most Insurance

Tampa, Florida
Founded: 1973
Employees: 16

Most Insurance sold more life insurance in 2014 than in its previous 40+ years in business. As a p-c agency with about 74% of its book in personal lines, Most Insurance has re-energized consumer education on overall risk management, beginning with life insurance.

Most’s life focus is not on the high net-worth client. Instead, the agency seeks to offer basic protection for every family it insures. Constant conversation revolves around opportunities to discuss life insurance as part of the risk management plan.

Eric Most, vice president, shares real-life experiences to inspire his staff. He often draws on content and messaging from the website of non-profit organization Life Happens. In a video the agency created for Life Insurance Awareness Month, Most shares an incident made more tragic for a family by the absence of life insurance. Says Most: “Life insurance truly is love insurance.”

SYLVIA BURNIGHT, PERSONAL LINES ACCOUNT MANAGER

One carrier’s program supports our commitment by offering a credit on auto insurance for someone who also purchases life insurance. Depending on the person’s age, the auto credit can pay for the five-year, guaranteed-renewable-term life policy.

ERIC MOST, VICE PRESIDENT

My job is to tell stories to our team—to help them understand the real-life trials and tribulations people have when there is no life insurance. Then they are ready to share those stories with our friends—our customers—in educating them. We are passionate about protecting families.

COREY KONSULIS, PERSONAL LINES SPECIALIST

In the front lines with prospective customers, I look for conversation topics that naturally lead to the life insurance discussion. Newly married? Have a baby or a college-bound child? Are you looking to insure a new home? I also find that grandparents appreciate being able to gift their grandchildren with life insurance because value increases and low cost is locked in.
