Who’s Covered for Damage to a Business Auto Rental?
A company’s insurer denies coverage after an employee’s rental car is damaged.
A company rented vehicles for a project, and the rental agreements were in the names of its employees because they had used their personal credit cards. An uninsured motorist rear-ended one of the rentals, and the company’s agent made a claim for damage under the Symbol 8 hired auto physical damage collision coverage. But the insurer denied it.
