It’s another day of cancer treatments at the hospital for 17-year-old William. But this time, his routine is different—he knows his wish to go to Greece will come true.
Inspired by the trip, William focuses on what he’ll experience there after he recuperates: Athens, the Acropolis Museum, the aquamarine sparkle of the Aegean Sea and a connection to his family heritage. He immerses himself in every moment, recognizing every experience as a life-enriching opportunity.
Today, William’s trip to Greece marks a milestone of being cancer-free, of looking forward to his future and of celebrating his recovery with his family.
William, of the foundation’s Metro New York and Western New York chapter, is one of 11 children whose wishes came true with a $171,590-donation from last summer’s Trusted Choice® campaign.
Last July, Trusted Choice aligned with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to help provide hope, strength and joy. Trusted Choice donated $10 for every new “like” to its Facebook page. During the month-long campaign, the Trusted Choice Facebook page grew by 17,159 new “likes.”
