Young Agents Can Get Scholarships to Lobby Congress
First-timers may apply for $500, $1,000 to attend Legislative Conference & Convention.
The Big "I" Legislative Conference & Convention is an opportunity to educate legislators on issues important to the independent agency system. Young agents are the future of the industry, and it’s important they are involved in the legislative process.
The Big “I” national Young Agents Committee offers two scholarships to help young agents attend the annual event, which will be April 25 to 27 in Washington, D.C.
First-time young agent attendees may apply for the Maurice Herndon Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is presented to one individual in honor of Maurice Herndon, who spearheaded many of the grassroots initiatives that make the Big "I" what it is today. Download the 2012 Maurice Herndon Scholarship application here.
