The Big “I” Trusted Choice
® team was presented with two Association TRENDS
All Media Awards. “The Lockhart Story” video won a gold award in the category for CD, video, podcast or PSA, and the July 2011 Make-A-Wish Foundation
® Facebook fundraiser was presented with a bronze award in the social media category.
The
video is a mini-documentary that tells the story of a Cumberland, Maine, family whose Trusted Choice agent helped them recover from a devastating house fire.
Judges said: "The high quality video was very impressive. The production elements came together. The editing and direction were impressive. But what ultimately made this successful was that they came together to tell the story. Through heartbreak and devastation, the video made me want a Trusted Choice agent to ensure that I would be taken care of. The video impressively builds the brand of the association.”
Meanwhile, during the month-long Facebook campaign, Trusted Choice donated $10 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for every new “like” on
www.facebook.com/TrustedChoice. By partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, state associations and regional Make-A-Wish chapters, Trusted Choice was able to donate $171,590 to the charity and fund 11 wishes for children across the country.
Trusted Choice looks to partner with Make-A-Wish Foundation for another fundraiser in 2012.
Judges noted: “This campaign was not only effective, but shows how strong partnerships can generate strong return. Trusted Choice grew organically because they were donating money to a well known charity. By tying the amount of money being donated to new likes, the association not only grew the social media base, but also generated incredible good will while solidifying a solid brand image.”
