This week, Jennifer McPhillips was promoted to Big “I” senior director of federal government affairs and will serve as one of the Big “I” Democratic lobbyists on the bipartisan Capitol Hill team.
McPhillips previously served as senior director of political affairs in charge of grassroots campaigns and assisting with the management of the Big “I” political action committee (PAC), InsurPac. She first joined the Big “I” team in 2006 after working for Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-Iowa) and has moved up through the ranks. McPhillips holds a wealth of institutional knowledge after spearheading numerous successful grassroots campaigns, contributing to record-breaking InsurPac fundraising efforts and advocating for independent agents on crop insurance issues.
McPhillips, a native of Ridgewood, N.J., earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in Italian from Providence College in Rhode Island. She is active in the Junior League of Washington, which promotes volunteerism and leadership in the D.C. community.
